Heidi Anderson’s foundation in painting is evident at first glance. Her ceramic figures and vessels utilize the clay as both foreground and background, using low fire glazes sparingly and with intent. Her pallet is derived from an adoration for the desert, and her home in California. Each ceramic figure is charged with her influences and individual symbology, but still finds a place in the universal.
